A few words about Ghelintal:
The
first written manuscript to acknowledge the village is dated from 1539
and it was mentioned under the name of Gelenche. The name Ghelinta
appears in the beginning of the year 1900 as it is used today.
The village’ s medieval church built in gothic style dates back
to the 13th century. This church is one of the most valuable and famous
architectural monuments of the entire region and contains priceless
frescos about the legend of Saint Ladislau, cassette ceilings date back
to the 13th and 15th centuries.
